Home visits will be made at the discretion of the
duty doctor.
Please do not ask the doctor to make a home visit unless the patient is
genuinely too ill to come to the Surgery. A rash or temperature does not
prevent patients coming to the Surgery and will not endanger others. If
the Receptionist feels it is necessary, a patient can be found a room
away from other patients in which to wait for the doctor.
Where the condition of a patient does require a home visit, please ring
the Surgery (preferably before 10.00am) on 01280 702436 and
press 3. The receptionist will take your details and forward them to
the duty doctor who will then contact you to assess the urgency of the
request and arrange a time for the visit. Home visits are normally made
during the lunch hour after normal surgeries have finished.
