AUTUMN 2008
In September we said a fond farewell to Valerie Allen our Senior
Practice Nurse. Valerie had been with Washington House for many years
and will be greatly missed by patients and staff alike. However, you may
still see her about the Surgery as she has agreed to come back and run
certain clinics from time to time.
We also said goodbye to another of our nurses, Cath Young, who left to
take up a term time only job working as a school nurse.
We welcomed Jenny Walters to the nursing team in September. Some of you
may already have met her in blood clinics or the treatment room.
On the administration side we have been joined by Nicci Bennett - our
new Medical Secretary. Nicci works three days a week and shares this
role with Angela Nicholls who works for two days a week. In Reception we
said a sad goodbye to Joan Mildren who had worked with us for many
years.
In October we had a new appointment system installed. While this system
will enable us to offer an even more efficient service we ask you to be
patient with us during those inevitable initial ‘teething problems’. We
apologise for any inconvenience and will endeavour to restore our normal
practice as quickly as possible.
