Our practice nurses and health care assistants see patients by appointment. They run specialised clinics for patients requiring on-going monitoring of long-term conditions, such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, CKD, COPD, sexual health clinics and Chlamydia screening. In the treatment room they will take blood samples, perform ear syringing, blood pressure checks, ECGs, dressings, minor injuries, removal of sutures, injections, dietary advice and cervical smears. They run a fortnightly Cryosurgery Clinic for the removal of warts, verrucas and similar growths. They can offer advice on numerous health topics and are qualified to carry out general health checks. They will also offer smoking cessation advice.

Receptionists and Administrative Staff |
We have a team of experienced receptionists who are lead by Mrs Dinah Treadwell, they deal with appointments, telephone enquiries, repeat prescriptions and other aspects of using the surgery. Their job is to help you make the best use of our services and they are required to ask patients the nature of their appointment needs so that the correct appointment and appointment length can be made. They are fully trained to match the patients’ needs with the resources of the surgery clinicians and patients and have access to confidential medical records. All staff are aware of the importance of confidentiality and data protection.
Receptionists and administrative staff are able to give results of blood tests, urine tests, x-rays, cervical smears and other investigations after consultation with the doctors. To avoid busy times of the day when the telephones ring with appointment requests, please telephone for test results between 10.00am and 5.00pm.
