day-to-day administration and smooth running of the practice. She
is happy to be contacted about any matter regarding patient
services and is the first point of contact for any patient

Our practice nurses and health care assistants see patients by
appointment. They run specialised clinics for
patients with
Asthma, Diabetes, Heart Disease and Hypertension. They also run a
weekly Travel clinic. In the
Treatment Room they will take blood samples, ear syringing, blood
pressure checks, ECGs, dressings, minor injuries, removal of
sutures, injections, dietary advice and cervical smears. They run
a fortnightly Cryosurgery Clinic for the removal of warts,
verrucas and similar growths. They can offer advice on numerous
health topics and are qualified to carry out general health
checks. They will also offer smoking cessation advice.

We have a team of experienced Receptionists who
deal with appointments, telephone enquiries, repeat prescriptions
and other administrative aspects of using the surgery. Their job is
to help you make the best of our services. Confidentiality is always
assured. They are able to give results of blood tests, urine tests,
x-ray results and other investigations after consultation with the
doctors. To avoid busy times of the day when the telephones ring
with appointment requests, please telephone for test results between
10.00 am and 5.00 pm.

Lowick Pharmacy |
In addition to dispensing staff, Lowick Pharmacy is attached to the
surgery to provide extended Pharmacy services to patients and
non-patients. Lowick is managed by Marcia Matos, who is also the
Superintendent Pharmacist, assisted by Paul Austin, Melanie Goulding
and Karin Morgan,. Lowick and the Dispensary provide a delivery
service to the elderly and housebound in Brackley and surrounding
villages.

Health Visitors |
Beverley Foreshaw RN RM RHV,
assisted by Sue is the Health
Visitor who covers our practice. They have special responsibilities to
mothers and children and also offer smoking cessation advice. Beverley
is concerned with the health of the whole community and specialises in
the care of preschool children.
She is a qualified nurse who has
undergone further training to qualify as a health visitor. She can be
contacted at the surgery on 01280 706446 between the hours of 8.30am -
10.30am, and 4.30pm - 5.00pm, or a message can be left with the
reception staff at the surgery.

Midwife |
Rita Long RGN RM is the midwife
attached to our surgery and will offer antenatal care, alongside the
GPs and the local consultant, and post-natal care up to
28 days after delivery. If you are
pregnant, you can make an appointment to see the doctor and/or the
midwife in the antenatal clinic. If you urgently need to get
hold of the midwife, please call 07801 672332. |

Counsellor |
|
|
|
Oriana Johnson will see patients referred by our doctors for
a range of issues in the surgery on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. |
|

District Nursing Staff |
